The COVID-19 vaccine rollout continues at Geraldton Regional Aboriginal Medical Service (GRAMS) vaccination hub operated in partnership with WA Country Health Service (WACHS).

The vaccination hub started on Monday 11 October and 281 vaccinations were administered in the first week.

WA Premier, Mark McGowan, visited GRAMS on Friday 15 October to support the vaccination take up in the Mid West region.

“More than 63 per cent of Mid-West residents have now received one dose of their COVID vaccine but there is more work to be done,” said Mr McGowan.

"That's why we're working with our Commonwealth partners, colleagues across industry and GPs to make it easier than ever before for country residents to access a COVID-19 vaccine”

"Here in Geraldton, I'd like to commend WACHS and GRAMS for working together to protect as many Mid-West residents as possible”

"More regional pop-up clinics will be stood up in the coming weeks as we look to provide every opportunity for people living in regional WA to get vaccinated to protect themselves and their community,” he said.

"Vaccinations are safe, effective and the best protection we have against COVID-19."

GRAMS Practice Manager, Maggie Peel, encourages everyone to roll up their sleeves to protect the community.

“Please get your COVID-19 vaccinations to keep our Elders, families and communities safe,” said Ms Peel.

“It’s so important that we work together to protect everyone against coronavirus by getting fully vaccinated.”

“If you’re anxious about getting the vaccine, don’t hesitate to come in and talk to the COVID team at GRAMS or your GP and we can help answer any questions you may have,” she said.

GRAMS Chairperson, Sandy Davies and WA Premier Mark McGowan encourage everyone to roll up for WA.

Everyone aged 12 years and over is eligible for a free COVID-19 at GRAMS vaccination hub. No bookings are required.

The GRAMS vaccination hub will be open until the 22nd of October from 9am to 3pm every day. To learn more, call GRAMS on 9965 6555 or visit their website https://www.grams.asn.au/covid-19
