Midwives staff the Family Heath Unit Monday to Friday for walk-in and booked antenatal appointments.
Dedicated Antenatal clinics operate on a Wednesday (all day) and Thursday (morning) where you will have the opportunity to meet midwives from the hospital.
The midwives can check on your health, the health of your baby, order test and investigations (blood tests and ultrasound scans), prescribe medicines, give vaccinations and arrange appointment with GRAMS GP/Obstetrician.
Following the birth of the baby, return to GRAMS for midwives to check on your recovery following the birth.
The midwives will introduce you to the Child Health Nurse. The Child Health Nurse will them begin childhood growth and development checks and immunisations.
