Gascoyne Outreach Service (GOS) – Carnarvon, WA

The Gascoyne Outreach Service (GOS), part of Geraldton Regional Aboriginal Medical Service (GRAMS), is seeking a compassionate and motivated Social Worker / Mental Health Professional to join our multidisciplinary team in Carnarvon.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support Aboriginal individuals, families and communities by delivering culturally responsive mental health and wellbeing services while working alongside a dedicated team committed to improving health outcomes.

About the Role

As a Social Worker / Mental Health Professional, you will:

  • Provide mental health assessments, counselling, crisis intervention and case management.
  • Work collaboratively with GPs, psychiatrists and other health professionals.
  • Support clients through recovery planning, referrals and advocacy.
  • Deliver mental health education and health promotion within the community.
  • Contribute to a multidisciplinary team focused on culturally safe, person-centred care.

About You

To be successful, you will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology or a related discipline.
  • Current registration (where applicable).
  • Experience working in community mental health.
  • Excellent communication, assessment and case management skills.
  • A genuine commitment to improving Aboriginal health outcomes.
  • A current driver's licence, Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain) and National Police Clearance.
