The GRAMS Carnarvon Gascoyne Outreach Service and Hearing Australia recently held an Ear Health Day through the Hearing Assessment Program - Early Ears (HAPEE).
Through the HAPEE program, Aboriginal children aged 0 - 6 years receive free, safe and simple hearing checks to strengthen their ear health.
1 in 3 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander kids experience serious ear and hearing troubles. Therefore, it is critical that the community, families and carers are aware about the importance of ear and hearing health.
Our TIS team provided food and resources for the event and the Youth Deadly Cru team helped with the setting up as well as cooking some yummy lunches for the kids.
