The Geraldton Regional Aboriginal Medical Service (GRAMS) is seeking a reliable, compassionate and community-minded Transport Driver to join our Geraldton Clinic on a full-time basis.

 This important role supports our clients by providing safe, reliable and timely transport to and from medical appointments. As a valued member of our team, you will help improve access to healthcare and contribute to positive health outcomes for Aboriginal people and the wider community.

About the Role

As a transport driver, you will:

  • Safely transport GRAMS eligible patients and clients to and from medical appointments and other approved locations.
  • Provide a friendly, professional and culturally respectful service.
  • Ensure transport schedules run efficiently and on time.
  • Maintain the vehicle is clean, safe and roadworthy condition.
  • Complete routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with clinic staff to ensure efficient coordination of patient support.
  • Contribute to a safe workplace and participate in quality improvement activities.

Essential Requirements

  • Current Passenger Transport Driver (PTD) Authorisation or F-Endorsement.
  • Current unrestricted C Class Driver's Licence.
  • Current National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain one).
  • Current Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain one).
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Demonstrate understanding of, and commitment to; providing culturally appropriate services to Aboriginal people.

Desirable

  • Previous experience working within the health or community services sector.
  • Knowledge of the Geraldton, Midwest and Murchison regions.
