Geraldton Regional Aboriginal Medical Service (GRAMS) is seeking a proactive and hands-on Assets & Maintenance Officer to join our Gascoyne Outreach Service (GOS) team in Carnarvon on a maximum-term contract until 30 June 2027.

About the Role

Reporting to the Practice Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating the maintenance and upkeep of GRAMS' buildings, vehicles, grounds and other assets. You will ensure our facilities remain safe, compliant and well maintained while supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the maintenance of GRAMS buildings, vehicles, grounds and equipment.
  • Supervise cleaning staff and monitor external contractors.
  • Manage vehicle servicing, repairs and insurance claims.
  • Maintain accurate asset and vehicle registers.
  • Obtain quotations and coordinate maintenance works.
  • Ensure compliance with Work Health & Safety requirements.
  • Provide basic IT support and assist with electronic systems where required.
  • Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives across the organisation.

Essential Selection Criteria

To be successful, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in general maintenance, property or facilities management.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently and prioritise competing tasks.
  • A current unrestricted driver's licence.
  • Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check.

Desirable Selection Criteria

  • Trade qualification.
  • Experience working within an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (ACCHO) or health setting.
  • Knowledge of Work Health & Safety legislation and maintenance compliance.
