The Geraldton Police and Community Youth Centre (PCYC) and the Geraldton Regional Aboriginal Medical Service (GRAMS) Tackling Indigenous Smoking (TIS) team is supporting youth wellbeing through friendly sport competitions.

Geraldton Regional Aboriginal Medical Service is committed to providing culturally appropriate support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander living with disability under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

A great day shared by all at the Hapee-ear Health screening and Health promotion day held on August 20th at Mungullah village.

The GRAMS Health Promotions team travelled to Carnarvon recently to deliver training and support to the Aboriginal Medical Service and evaluate strategies in improving the services and programs aimed at promoting Aboriginal community health and wellbeing.

Stage II of the Suicide Prevention trial undertaken by GRAMS and Peter Kenyon from Bank of I.D.E.A.S is in the final stages of a twelve-month contract with WAPHA.

We recently launched our Elders Day Program to recognise the Elders in our community and create a culturally safe place for yarning, sharing and storytelling.

GRAMS is working to provide health promotion programs in Mt Magnet to empower Aboriginal health services in rural communities.

To help raise the awareness of mental health, our Deadly Cru team travelled to Meekatharra last week to provide mental health training and workshops at Meekatharra District High School.

The Back on Track program is a youth engagement program provided in partnership with Headspace and government initiative, Community Alcohol and Drug Services (CADS).

The coronavirus (COVID19) situation pandemic has had a significant health and financial impact on a national, state and local level. GRAMS has been working hard to prepare COVID-19 care packages for those most in need.

The Women’s action for Mums and Bubs (WOMB) project is an initiative conducted by James Cook University Australia which aims to identify opportunities to improve Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander maternal and child health.

The Geraldton Regional Aboriginal Medical Service (GRAMS) Tackling Indigenous Smoking (TIS) team is excited to launch a weekly Drum Beat Program from 30 July 2020 at Geraldton Police & Community Youth Centre (PCYC).

The GRAMS Reserve is undergoing an upgrade to design and construct new recreational facilities including scooter and skate park, art elements, lighting and basketball half-court.
