Gascoyne Outreach Service (GOS), part of Geraldton Regional Aboriginal Medical Service (GRAMS), is seeking a passionate and experienced Social Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) Counsellor to join our team in Carnarvon.
This role is about walking alongside community — supporting clients with complex needs through culturally safe, trauma-informed care and holistic wellbeing support.
About the Role
You will:
- Manage a clinical caseload of clients with high and complex needs.
- Provide individual counselling and support.
- Facilitate group programs and healing activities.
- Maintain accurate case notes and documentation.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
- Travel across the Midwest, Murchison and Gascoyne regions as required.
Essential Requirements
- Experience managing complex caseloads.
- Strong interpersonal, problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
- Effective organisational and time management skills
- Unrestricted “C” Class Driver’s Licence
- Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance and pass Drug & Alcohol screening.
- Willingness to work outside normal business hours when required.
Desirable
- Identifies as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and is recognised by community.
- Diploma in Narrative Therapy
- Diploma level or higher qualification in a relevant field
