Gascoyne Outreach Service (GOS), part of Geraldton Regional Aboriginal Medical Service (GRAMS), is seeking a passionate and experienced Social Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) Counsellor to join our team in Carnarvon.

This role is about walking alongside community — supporting clients with complex needs through culturally safe, trauma-informed care and holistic wellbeing support.

About the Role

You will:

  • Manage a clinical caseload of clients with high and complex needs.
  • Provide individual counselling and support.
  • Facilitate group programs and healing activities.
  • Maintain accurate case notes and documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Travel across the Midwest, Murchison and Gascoyne regions as required.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience managing complex caseloads.
  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
  • Effective organisational and time management skills
  • Unrestricted “C” Class Driver’s Licence
  • Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance and pass Drug & Alcohol screening.
  • Willingness to work outside normal business hours when required.

Desirable

  • Identifies as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and is recognised by community.
  • Diploma in Narrative Therapy
  • Diploma level or higher qualification in a relevant field
