National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children’s Day | Aug 4 🌱
2025 Theme: Little Footsteps, Big Future 👣🔮
Geraldton Regional Aboriginal Medical Service (GRAMS) is proud to celebrate National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children’s Day, a special occasion that honours the strength, culture, and bright futures of our youngest community members.
This year’s theme, Little Footsteps, Big Future, reminds us that every step our children take today is a stride toward a stronger, healthier tomorrow. It’s a celebration of their resilience, their connection to culture, and the boundless potential they carry within.
Why This Day Matters
Children’s Day is a time to reflect on the importance of nurturing the wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children. It’s also a chance to acknowledge the role that family, community, and culture play in shaping their journey.
At GRAMS, we believe that culturally safe and community-led healthcare is essential to supporting our children’s growth. From early childhood programs to youth health initiatives, we are committed to walking alongside our young ones as they take their first steps toward a bright future.
Looking Ahead
As we celebrate Children’s Day, we renew our commitment to creating safe, supportive spaces where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children can thrive. Their footsteps may be small today - but their future is big, bold, and full of promise.
