West Coast Eagles veteran, Josh Kennedy visited the Geraldton Regional Aboriginal Medical Service (GRAMS) vaccination hub on Monday 11th of October to encourage the community to get vaccinated.

GRAMS has partnered with WA Country Health Service (WACHS) to open a COVID-19 vaccination hub from the 11th of October until the 22nd of October to enable community members to get their Pfizer vaccine.

The hub is an initiative aimed at accelerating vaccinates rates and encouraging local community members to roll up for WA.

Anyone 12 years and over can walk in and get their first or second Pfizer vaccine at the GRAMS vaccination hub. No bookings are required.

Josh Kennedy received his COVID-19 Pfizer vaccination at GRAMS and took the opportunity to meet with fans, encouraging them to follow the Eagle’s lead and get vaccinated.

GRAMS Practice Manager, Maggie Peel said they are grateful to have the Eagles stars support and hope more people will come forward for the vaccination.

“We would like to thank Josh for stepping up to get vaccinated and leading by example,” said Ms Peel.

“It’s great to see sporting role models promoting the COVID-19 vaccine and building community confidence in getting vaccinated.”

“I encourage anyone who is hesitant in receiving the vaccine to talk to their local GP or COVID team on the importance of why it is so vital to be protected against COVID.

“The COVID-19 vaccines can help keep you, your family and your community from getting seriously ill and help prevent the spread of the disease.”

“Please come down to GRAMS to get vaccinated. Together we can beat COVID-19 and keep our communities safe.”
