The Carnarvon Gascoyne Outreach Services (GOS) team along with men and women from the community came together on Friday 2nd of December to raise awareness for domestic violence as part of the 16 Days of Action Against Domestic Violence 2022.

The morning started with a talk at the Carnarvon Civic Centre following a walk to the Fascine to the purple seat which is a local landmark that represents family violence. It was a moving day, with Debbie (Kaye) Oakley laying a flower wreath at Brockman Park to commemorate her daughter’s life taken through domestic violence.

The 16 Days of Action Against Domestic Violence 2022 campaign runs from 25th of November (International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women) through to 10th of December (Human Rights Day) each year.
