Social Emotional Wellbeing Worker

 

Location: Geraldton

 

The Geraldton Regional Aboriginal Medical Service is seeking to fill the above position in its Clinic in Geraldton.

The Social Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) Worker reports to and is directly accountable to the SEWB Clinical Lead and is responsible for providing support in the delivery of Social Emotional Wellbeing care to GRAMS clients. The SEWB Worker forms part of the GRAMS SEWB Multi-Disciplinary team and works collaboratively with the team and the GRAMS clinic staff.

The SEWB Worker will focus on providing support to people within the Midwest, Murchison and Gascoyne regions to strengthen their social emotional wellbeing in a variety of ways including connection to health services and culturally appropriate activities.

The occupant of this position will be expected to comply with and demonstrate a positive commitment to the highest level of achievement in Equal Employment Opportunity. It is essential that the candidate has an unrestricted “C” class driver's licence and the ability to pass a Police Clearance and Drug and Alcohol testing. Aboriginality is an essential criterion and is provided for in accordance with section 50(d) of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984 (WA).
