The Geraldton Regional Aboriginal Medical Service is looking for NDIS Coordinator.
This role will require the ability to show initiative in working collaboratively with and acting on behalf of local and remote community members by providing relevant information and referring people with disability and their families to the National Disability Insurance Scheme Coordinator.
Competencies are the specific knowledge, skills and attributes needed to successfully undertake the role.
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
General skills, experience and knowledge
ESSENTIAL:

Knowledgeable and informed understanding of the impact of disability on daily life.

Ability to facilitate professional introductions and establish relationships between
participants, their families and ‘other’.

Comply with legislation and ability to manage potential conflict of interest and seek
assistance to do so, if required.

Sound working knowledge and overview about the communities working in.

Ability to develop and maintain a ‘Work Plan’, agreed between NDIA (Agency) and GRAMS
(Supplier); and implement for the duration of funding contract, review and evaluate under
funding reporting requirement conditions.

Ability to manage service delivery performance.

Be a strategic thinker, and provide on-going strategic advice, problem solving and issues
management for internal and external stakeholders in relation to complex and potentially
controversial matters.

Demonstrated ability in providing strategic direction to work areas, including developing
strategies and priorities and monitor work flow and performance.
DESIRABLE
-
Previous experience working in the area of Aboriginal Health Service provision or experience with health or social service delivery.

Sound computing skills.
-
Local language skills.
PRACTICE REQUIREMENTS
- You need to obtain a Police Clearance.
- A current Working with Children Clearance or able to obtain one.
- A current unrestricted vehicle driver’s license.
- You can be tested for having used drugs at any time.
