Join us in celebrating a successful GRAMS Tackling Indigenous Smoking (TIS) Family Fun Day that took place on November 25, 2023! The theme of the event was "We Want Food, Not Tobacco." The Family Fun Day brought together over 2,000 community members in a collective effort to prioritise health and well-being.

Families enjoyed an array of activities for kids and live entertainment by Red Ochre, The Karloo Rockers, Jazmine Allen, Razzy Mak, and Sam Bennell. Attendees had the opportunity to participate in a survey to receive exclusive Family Fun Day shirts and a chance to win awesome camping equipment.

The GRAMS Social Emotional Wellbeing Team contributed to the event by providing a free BBQ for the community, aligning with their commitment to promote positive health choices. Special recognition goes to the Deadly Sista Girlz from Champion Bay Senior High School for their invaluable support in face painting and serving teas and coffee to Elders in the Elder's tent.

We extend our gratitude to all volunteers who made the day run smoothly, and a special thank you to Patience Sandland for their generous donation of sand, allowing us to create a captivating sand mural.

The success of the Family Fun Day underscores the commitment of the GRAMS TIS Team to inspire positive change within the community, promoting a smoke-free lifestyle and emphasising the importance of redirecting resources towards essential needs.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to making GRAMS TIS Family Fun Day 2023 a memorable and impactful event! Together, we're building a healthier and happier community.
