Prostate Awareness Month

Make sure you’re in it for the long haul and around longer for family and friends.

In 2019, there were 2,299 new cases of prostate cancer recorded and 248 deaths, with the risk of being diagnosed with prostate cancer by the age of 75 years being 1 in 8 for men. Treatment is most effective when cancer is found at an early stage, so finding cancer early can make a real difference.

If you have noticed any blood in your pee or semen, even if it is just once, it’s important to tell your doctor, clinic nurse or Aboriginal health worker straight away.
