GRAMS holds monthly Elders Day catch ups to focus on empowering our Elders to share stories, connect with the community and improve their health and wellbeing.
Last week, GRAMS hosted Elders Day at the Geraldton Streetwork Aboriginal Corporation with Health Communication Resources to have a yarn with the Elders on some important topics.
Working closely with the Elders, we developed radio and video messages around family violence prevention, positive mental health and promoting the COVID-19 vaccine to keep ourselves, our families, and our community safe.
It was also a great opportunity to listen to the Elders sharing their valuable life lessons, experiences and cultural stories.
