The Deadly Cru and Tackle Indigenous Smoking (TIS) teams had the honour of being invited to attend the Midwest Cup organised by the Clontarf Foundation. The Midwest Cup is an annual footy tournament bringing together schools across the Midwest region to compete, make new friends and have fun.
We had a stall set up at the event with promotional freebies for all the boys participating in the tournament. This gave us great opportunities to meet with students and educate them on the dangers of smoking, alcohol, and drug use. The TIS team also chose one player from each Grand Final team as Best on Ground, with the winners receiving a prize pack of a Nike backpack and a sports voucher valued at $50.
The Deadly Cru and TIS teams had a great day at the Cup. We love supporting our local high schools and we look forward to attending the tournament every year. Well done to the boys! You all played some deadly footy.
