Geraldton Regional Aboriginal Medical Service (GRAMS) has received medical supplies and equipment from the Minderoo Foundation to help respond to the COVID-19 pandemic and ensure we continue to provide exceptional medical services to our patients.
The funding enabled GRAMS to purchase additional medical scrubs to help protect our frontline health workers The funding was also used to purchase Ipads to enable the provision of telehealth services, as well as emergency relief hygiene packs which were distributed to COVID-19 vulnerable communities.
Almost 200 scrubs have been delivered to our clinics in Geraldton, Carnarvon and Mount Magnet and 20 iPads have been distributed to enable our health professionals to continue delivering essential services to patients isolated at home.
400 health hygiene relief packs have been distributed so far to families living in regional WA, reinforcing the crucial COVID-19 message of practising safe hygiene including washing hands regularly to stop the spread of harmful germs.
GRAMS Strategic Clinical Manager, Rae Peel said that the grant has helped provide our clinics and local communities with much needed support during this unprecedented time.
“Our mission is to ensure the safety of our patients and staff while continuing to provide essential services to the community during the COVID-19 pandemic.” said Rae.
Thanks to the support of the Minderoo Foundation, GRAMS is able to provide the necessary resources to support the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic and help local healthcare workers and community members stay safe.
