Key Responsibilities of the role include:

The Compliance and WH&S Manager is accountable to the Business Services and Programs Director  and is responsible for managing GRAMS Accreditation standards for successful accreditation outcomes for GRAMS.

  • Liaise with a variety of Government agencies, stakeholder representative groups and community groups regarding accreditation matters.
  • Maintain close working relationships with other managers and team members of GRAMS.
  • Develop accreditation programs with reference to AGPAL and QIC requirements.
  • Apply Strategic thinking to the longer term forward planning of the GRAMS accreditation programs.
  • Integrate accreditation programs with the established GRAMS organisational structure and service provision model.
  • Promote effective communication and cooperation within GRAMS sites (Geraldton Rangeway and Holland St sites, Mt Magnet and Gascoyne Outreach Services - Carnarvon Site)concerning all accreditation issues.
  • Provide advice to the GRAMS Board, CEO and Share holders regarding accreditation requirements.
  • Ensure reports and documentation is prepared as required according to GRAMS,AGPAL and QIC requirements, time frames and action plans.
  • Evaluate GRAMS accreditation performance.
  • Provide staff support , promotion and education regarding accreditation requirements throughout GRAMs.

Selection Criteria:

ESSENTIAL

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Risk, Quality or health related discipline.
  • Proven Experience, Knowledge and understanding of AGPAL and QIC Quality standards.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated organisational and time management skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Sector.
  • Possess an understanding of the principles of primary health care.
  • Availability to Travel between GRAMS locations (Geraldton, Mt Magnet and Carnarvon)

PRACTICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • You will need to obtain a National Police Clearance
  • A Current working with Children Check or the ability to obtain one.
  • A Current unrestricted vehicle drivers license.
  • You can be drug tested at any time.
