Stop in and get your health checked, have a yarn and a feed! Geraldton Regional Aboriginal Medical Service (GRAMS) work to improve the health men during its Men’s Health Day, Thursday June 14. The Men’s Health Day is for existing clients of GRAMS and new Indigenous patients who have never before visited the GRAMS’ clinic on Rifle Range Rd. Men coming in on the day will be encouraged to undergo a complete health check. Once you have had a complete health check you can go in the draw to win prizes. Those who need it, will also receive a GP management plan and receive information on how and why to live a healthy lifestyle. GRAMS’ Tackling Indigenous Smoking team will be on site to provide information about how to quit smoking, as well as information on how to support family members trying to quit smoking. The men will also receive lunch and go in the draw for prizes and receive free health-related goodies. Why do we run these dedicated Health Days? By conducting health checks, we have a better chance of getting onto potential health issues before they become more severe. We want everyone to live a long and healthy life.
